What's Happening In The Seley Shop Today...

Kitchen Cabinets

Our first project is staining cabinets for a kitchen remodel.  These parts have been sanded, benited, and are now being stained with a Daly's wood stain custom created by Mark Seley.

Alder Trim
Our second shop project today is for a garage remodel.  These alder planks are being sanded, benited and stained with a custom color from Daly's created by Mark Seley.  This job will be done in two days for the customer off-site so the customer can install finished wood to their garage.

Seley Services joins Toth Construction for Richtfest!

Richtfest is an old German tradition of having a blessing, or topping-off ceremony when a new house is built.  This celebration was thrown for the workmen who had come into town to assist or build the house for the home owner after the roof had been erected.  The overall point of the Richtfest is to celebrate all of the hard work, and usher in the house with a good blessing.  We at Seley Services were excited to participate in the Richtfest ceremony at a job we are working on with Toth Construction on Mercer Island.  Take a look at the pictures below to see how we celebrated the construction of a beautiful custom home and the great partnerships between Toth and the other contractors included in the process.

Richtspruch - First verse recited at ceremony:

With Diligence and dedication for morning to night,
The results of our work have been brought to light,
With good fortune and good grace,
We have had no injury or mistakes,
In assembling our work at a fast moving pace,
To all whom enter and leave this home,
May good luck follow you,
May good health be your own.

HOCH! HOCH! HOCH! - (everyone together)

Seley Painting Services stopped by Bellevue Paint & Decorating to talk with our friend Rick Wahl about Benjamin Moore's new lines of low VOC paint, Aura and Natura.  Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids such as paint and lacquer.
